Your Product Consistency Changes Every Day
(Product Consistency directly affects your acrylic nails)

Product consistency and Set-Up Time of your Tammy Taylor acrylic nails can be adjusted by you, as you work.

Changing Consistency: By changing your Tammy Taylor acrylic liquid to powder "ratio", or by changing to a "Faster Setting" Tammy Taylor "powder" or a "Slower Setting" Tammy Taylor "powder", the consistency & set-up time can be changed.

Tammy Taylor "Nail Powder's" really effect the basic set-up time and the flow of the acrylic nail more than the Tammy Taylor "Nail Liquid".

Although, with Tammy Taylor “Nail Liquid” you can use "more" liquid to slow down the set-up or a little "less" liquid to speed up the set-up process, the Tammy Taylor "Nail Powder" really sets the pace, for consistency.

     "I use my "Original" nail powder in my Famous Pink & White Full Set in less than 20 Minutes; the "Original" is my fastest setting nail powder, (approx. in under 2 minutes to set-up).

 I also have the "S-SET" (Summer) nail powder, which will have more flow (approx. 3 minutes to set-up).

     My slowest setting nail powder is the "Competitive Edge" Whitest-White nail powder, which will give you a lot of time to perfect the White "free-edge" with (approx. over 3 minute set up)."


 

There are a lot of other variables, and you need to be aware of the variables that can effect the set-up time of your acrylic nails:
• Weather changes
         o In the Summer time, the acrylic product sets up faster
         o In the Winter the acrylic product sets up slower
• Salon temperature
         o In a cold Salon, the acrylic product sets up slower
         o In a warm Salon, the acrylic product sets up faster
• Air-flow in the Salon
         o Is there outside air-flow through the Salon? Especially at the Nail Station?
         o If this air-flow is cool the acrylic product sets up slower, or if the air-flow is warm, the acrylic product sets up faster

Size of acrylic ball (usually)
         o Larger acrylic balls set-up quicker
         o Smaller acrylic balls set-up slower
• Amount of Nail Liquid in the Brush
         o More liquid causes a slower set-up
         o Less liquid causes a faster set up
• Contaminated Nail Liquid
         o Causes a faster set-up time, yucky balls and yellow nails
         o Also can cause "gummy" acrylic nails
• Set-up time of a particular Nail Powder used with the various Nail Liquids
• Also, whether or not the Client’s fingers are warm or cool (skin temperature)

3 FAST POINTERS to CREATING MORE BEAUTIFUL NAILS...

“I know you girls are busy and it is hard to remember everything during the course of the day; so, here are 3 FAST POINTERS to CREATING MORE BEAUTIFUL NAILS that are really easy to remember.”


1. VISUALIZE Beautiful nails before you start on your client. Have a picture of some beautiful nails that you would like for your nails to look like, and have that picture framed at your station or in your top drawer in your table. As long as the picture is in a place you look at least 20 times a day or more. “You will be amazed at how much this will help improve the look of your nails.”

• Visualize beautiful nails

2. CHECK the Length. Make sure all 10 Nails are the same length while you are filing, and before you start buffing. COMPARE the index finger on the left hand to the index finger on the right hand; the thumb on the left hand to the thumb on the right hand; continue until all the nails match on each hand. “When I am out and about, I always check out women’s nails, and whenever I see nails that are uneven, I just want to get out my file and start filing their nails.” It only takes an extra minute to check all the lengths and your Clients will really appreciate this little extra touch.

• ALL 10 Same length
• Measure finger to finger, and thumb to thumb
• When shopping, check out women’s nails

3. BUFF, BUFF, BUFF. After you finish filing make sure you BUFF the nails really smooth. Buff the nails with a Tammy Taylor Clean Finish Buffer; then add a drop of Tammy Taylor Conditioning Cuticle Oil to each nail and Buff again. “Even if your nails are not perfect, if they are REALLY SMOOTH they will look a 100 times better.”

• Buff again with Oil
